Roy AyersJazz vibraphonist Roy Ayers makes his debut at New York City's famous Blue Note jazz restaurant from October 28-29. As part of Blue Note's 'Soul Week,' with Leon Ware will take the stage to perform some of his timeless classics on Oct. 27. On October 31, Soul singer Res will also make her Blue Note debut in a show produced by Jill Newman Productions. 'Soul Week At The Blue Note' takes place October 27, 29-30 (Ayers), and Oct. 31 (Res).

My date was supposed to start out on an 8:18pm train to NY...
I was passing out candy until my daughter got home and at 710pm..
I got into the shower and was heading out the door 745....BUT
I can't find my keys...when I did, I drove 90 mph to the train station, got there at 815pm....
No time to get on the train after parking so Mr. James said he will drive...
The show started at 1030pm, we got into NY at 920pm.... BUT they had several streets block off for the Halloween parade/party...
So, we didn't get to the area of the Blue Note to see RES until 1130pm...
Now, I have to piss like a race horse and he is dying for a drink, so we just went uptown where there was no traffic and went into the first bar we saw...AND stayed our asses there until closing....lol
2am out of the bar and into traffic on the Westside highway until 5am and then all of a sudden bam he hits the car in front of us and we hadn't made it to the Cross Bronx yet.... lol
He fell asleep at the wheel, tore up his 2008 Acura TL, good thing we were only doing 5mph cuz we were in traffic....
SO, NYPD said it would be another 1hr1/2 before he gets to us, he was dealing with another accident with a boat...
the car had very little damage so they exchanged info and we were off to home....
We made it to Stamford and Mr. James said that's enough driving we're getting a room....
We check into a hotel at 6am....
So, the entire date cost him.........
$75. tickets 4 Blue Note,
$50. bar tab,
$2,000. for car damages,
$160 hotel stay and
we're still laughing at that shit....lol
