New Series on the Blue Note Blog: Modern Jazz Sounds Series
While The Blast From The Past evokes great moments and memories in jazz history, it is just as important, if not more important, to highlight what is going on today in jazz. Jazz, being a progressive music, thrives on innovation and creativity, and thus, The Modern Jazz Sounds Series will highlight some of today's finest jazz musicians from all over the world. The first Modern Jazz Sounds video will highlight The Fly Trio with Mark Turner, Larry Grenadier and Jeff Ballard who have been developing nicely over the years. Here they are playing at The Sunset club in Paris a few years ago.
